Virtuoso is entering an exciting phase of growth and is focused on strengthening the financial foundations of the business as we scale.
We are now seeking a Director of Finance to lead the finance function and ensure the business continues to grow with strong financial discipline, transparency and operational rigor.

This is a role for someone who wants to own the financial backbone of a scaling SaaS company.
About the Role:
The Director of Finance will lead Virtuoso’s finance function, ensuring financial accuracy, operational discipline, and strong financial insight across the organisation.
Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the company leadership, this role will ensure the integrity of the company’s financial reporting and strengthen the financial infrastructure needed to support a rapidly scaling SaaS business.
The Director of Finance will combine financial control, operational leadership and strategic insight, and will work closely with teams across the organisation to support informed decision-making and responsible growth.
Key Responsibilities
Own financial reporting and control — oversee monthly management accounts, board reporting, financial systems (Xero), international subsidiary reporting, and maintain strong financial governance and audit-ready records.
Lead financial planning and performance management — drive budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, working capital oversight, and provide clear analysis of performance against plan.
Provide strategic finance partnership to leadership — support commercial decisions, pricing and deal structures, financial modelling, and provide insight into key SaaS metrics such as ARR growth, retention and profitability.
Oversee finance operations and compliance — manage external accountants and auditors, coordinate statutory reporting, R&D tax claims, EMI scheme administration, and ensure compliance across UK and international entities.
Lead and scale the finance function — partner with the CEO and leadership team, support board reporting, strengthen financial processes and systems, and ensure the finance function scales with company growth.
What we would like to see in you:
We are looking for a finance leader who combines technical excellence with strong commercial understanding.
Essential
Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
Experience in a senior finance leadership role in SaaS
Strong experience producing management accounts and financial reporting
Advanced financial modelling and forecasting skills
Experience managing financial systems such as Xero
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-growing technology companyHighly Desirable

Experience in a VC backed B2B SaaS company
Experience managing multi-entity international structures
Familiarity with SaaS financial metrics (ARR, retention, CAC, etc.)
Experience supporting venture-backed businesses
Exposure to M&A or fundraising processes
